We have central heating, and the second floor (where the bedrooms are) is fine and warm, but our first floor, which is just one long open space divided into a living, dining, and kitchen area, is FREEZING. The thermostat is in the first floor, and when I checked it again last night, it was set to 75 degrees. However, the room temperature reading (again, as it appears on the thermostat) was a constant 65 through out the evening. Is there a way to find out if it's just the thermostat that's broken? Or is it probably our heater that needs to be replaced?
