I have noticed that Google crawls our site about once a week, usually late Friday night/early Saturday. I am uncertain of how they decide when to crawl a site but it looks like they usually crawl about once a week. It would be most helpful to you to have a sitemap(dot)xml, written correctly, and submit it to Google. That would get you crawled faster in the beginning. You can find much info on sitemaps by searching google. Basically, you create a google account and search their help for how to submit a sitemap. In your sitemap you can specify how often you make updates to pages. That should help you control how often they crawl your site. Good Luck!
